  • Educational Background:
I have not finished school yet but I am going to graduate next year. I have Politics and English as my main subject and as well biology. We have got ecology currently and it is an interesting topic. Also, I took part at different school exchanges to Belgium or to Canada.
  • Where I live and how I view my environment:
I live in the area of Rhein-Main, in a small town next to Frankfurt which is called Bad Vilbel. This city is popular for it's springs. It used to have about 60 in its best times. The area around my hometown consists of a great variety of nature. There are mountains ("Taunus"), forests(municipal forests in Bad Vilbel, Frankfurt and many more), fields (around Bad Vilbel-there is a lot of agriculture) and some lakes. As well, the area of Rhein-Main belongs to a biodiversity campaign. I view my environment as as chance to spend time with my family or friends. We often go hiking or biking.
  • Biodiversity means to me personally:
Biodiversity means to me the environment with its great beauty and variety.
  • My Symbol of biodiversity:
If I were to choose a symbol of biodiversity for my area, I would select the apple tree. Firstly, the "national drink" of Frankfurt or at least Hessen is made of apples and called "Apfelwein". Secondly, in the area of Rhein-Main grow more than one hundred different kinds of apples.
  • My motivation for participating:
I am interested in the political background which belongs to the topic biodiversity. In regard to the climate change this topic will be quiet important for our future. Also, I am already excited to meet the participants from all over the world and to get to know their attitudes towards biodiversity.
  • How did I show I am ready to "Go 4 BioDiv":
    No answer
  • My message to other participants:
I am really excited to meet all of you and hope the summit will be fun and of coures successful. see you in may =)
