Where I live and how I view my environment:
I live in a Mapuche community called "Huenchal" near Galvarino Town.
This is a rural zone with some little forest and farm land. This place has changed in the last years due to forestal enterprise that has arrived to the zone. Now my community has problem of water and erosion.
Biodiversity means to me personally: Biodiversity is the variety of life on earth. That includes all forms of life and ecosystem.Our human culture also is part of planet's biodiversity.
My Symbol of biodiversity: If I were to choose a symbol of biodiversity in my environment, I would select a place called "Menuco". This is a wet place with medicinal plant and native trees.
My motivation for participating: My motivitation for participating in the youth summit is to Know about different aspects of biodiversity and shares opinions about environmental problems with young people of other nations.
How did I show I am ready to "Go 4 BioDiv": I have worked with my family and community for keep our land and form of life.
My message to other participants:
"We can work together for a better world".
