What is your personal relation to the marine WHS you represent?

I work and live in Komodo National Park.  My parents are originated from Komodo Village.  I fully understand that my home is a World Heritage Site which has lots of uniqueness and importance in term of biological diversity.

 What are the specific problems and threats of your marine WHS?

Blast Fishing, Cyanide fishing, rock mining. It’s main problems in the park but now it is reduced .  This area is also one of favorite destination for cruiseships tour.  Mass tourim will harm this area if not manage properly.

Why do you think is it important to safeguard your marine WHS?

Of course, Its  Important to the nature balances and evironment also sustainability.  Saving the area, the ecosytem will sustain the benefit for people living inside and surrounding area of the WHS.
