Mrs Jayanthi Natarajan, Honorable Minister for Environment and Forests released the Go4BioDiv Brochure during the High Level Segment at CBD COP 11 in Hyderabad.
She said, in her message, “ It gives me great pleasure to inform all concerned that the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India is hosting the globally acclaimed Go4BioDiv International Youth Forum on the margins of the eleventh Conference of Parties (CoP-11) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) being held in India from 1-19 October, 2012 at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh”. At the end, she said, “ I wish the G04BioDiv Messengers a professionally rewarding stay in India and convey my appreciation to the organizers and sponsors of this event, which would contribute to harness the productive energies of the youth in strengthening biodiversity conservation”

Young people will have to bear the consequences of today’s actions and decisions – therefore their points of view should play an important role in political discussions and decision-making. The International Youth Forum Go4BioDiv gives young adults between 18 and 29 the possibility to engage in the Conferences of the Parties of the Convention on Biodiversity (CBD-COP).
