6 – 19 October 2012 in the Sundarbans/ Hyderabad, India
in parallel with the 11th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on
Biological Diversity (CBD-COP 11), October 2012 in Hyderabad, India
A global selection process was undertaken to select the 35 Messengers for the Forum – “Go4BioDiv Messenger 2012” for the Forum. A total of 25 Messengers come from marine Heritage sites in different countries, and 10 Messengers come from costal states and Union territories of India. Almost all the Messengers have a close personal relationship with costal marine issues and areas.
We will introduce the Go4Biodiv Messengers 2012 in our May and June issues of the Newsletter. It’s a great pleasure to introduce the first set of them in this issue.
