Programme

The first part of Go4BioDiv 2012 took place in the Sundarbans, India’s unique marine World Heritage site, from October 6 to 15, 2012. Here, the Messengers got to know each other, learned more about the issues at stake and developed their output for CoP-11. They then joined CoP-11 from October 16 to 19 during the High-Level Segment to present their messages to decision-makers and the wider public. The whole event was prepared and accompanied by a strong virtual exchange via an online platform, creative tasks as well as extensive press work.

Please find our schedule of events for Hyderabad here.

Sundarbans, Oct 6-15

The 10 days in the Sundarbans include a phase of building up conceptual understanding, accompanied by excursions and discussions. This first setting of the scene was followed by the intensive work in the different workshop groups. In parallel to the work in the workshop groups, we were developing a youth declaration. It is important that exchange and personal experiences are in the centre of all the activities not forgetting the goal to have impacts on three levels: personal, local and global/at COP.

Please find more information about the different elements in the Programme Overview and about the timing in Schedule.
