Outcomes

Prior, during and after the Youth Forum, the young Messengers came up with different creative contributions as well as personal statements on biodiversity conservation and youth engagement

Prior to the Forum

All participants have provided creative contributions – video clips, manga comics, etc. where they tell intriguing stories about their World Heritage sites.

At COP10

Exhibition

A colourful exhibition introduced the Messengers and the World Heritage sites they came from, including background information about the Forum’s theme. It was shown in Nagoya at the COP11 venue.

Statements and Performances for COP-10

For conveying their message to decision-makers and the greater public at COP10, the young Messengers developed personal statements and a dance performance.

Follow-up

Since October 2010, the young Messengers regularly publish a Newsletter with updates on their World Heritage sites and their activities.

The Messengers also wrote up their reflections about the impacts of Go4BioDiv in their personal lives: 2008 / 2010

Moreover, a educational publication under the title ‘Our Treasures at Risk‘  was released in June 2012 within the GIZ series ‘Sustainability has many Faces’.
